The new house before......

Ok. This is the outside of the house, taken a day or so after we signed the papers. We need to improve the landscaping a bit. There are tons of flowers, but they are all in a row on each side of the driveway, and along the fences. I think we are going to have to wait a year to find what plants we have, and then mix it up a bit. We are thinking that the front yard needs a good sized tree, but nothing that would be too obstructive of the view of the mountain from the living room window. Anyone have any ideas?

Add another home to the list!

Never let it be said that the Burrell's let moss grow under their feet. We are moving again. I know, I know. Just when everyone knows where we are, we up and leave. I ran in to Cheryl the other day, and she decided we were running away from them, because they just figured out where we live. (She and Scott put some effort into that one, and met many of our beloved neighbors in the process. Gotta feel loved after that.)

This time we promise to let everyone know where we are going. That is part of the purpose of moving to this blog site, so that people have a place to check up on us. Also, we have tons of work to do on the new house, so we will put up pictures of the undertaking. I am just so happy to be married to a man that can handle this project. I could never do it. Paint and wallpaper, maybe, and other basic changes, but not the major work that we have decided to do. I guess it is worth it for the price and the size of the yard. It will pay out in the end.

Anyway, our buyers close on this house in a few days, and we close on the new house a day or two after that. We just might be living in our trailer for a few days, so maybe we will live up the canyon, sit by the campfire and make s'mores. I am sure Miriam would love that. Camping after school. What kid gets that opportunity very often, or ever.

We are very sad to leave. We have loved our ward, and our neighborhood. It's amazing what you can learn from older people. It gives you a great perspective on life. Makes so many other things seem so unnecessary and helps to give a long term view to everyday choices. Besides, some of them are so darn funny. They have brought so much laughter to us. Sometimes you just have to see the bright side of things, even in the most inappropriate moments. They truly are my kind of people.

It's amazing to see what the Lord had in store for you at the end of a journey, but I am so excited to find out what is next on the list. Bring it on, Baby!
